Refund policy

Defective / Damaged / Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please notify us at skylabsiowa@gmail.com as soon as possible after receiving your package for a replacement, depending on availability, or a refund. Please do so within 30 days of receiving your order.

Please reference your order number and the item(s) in question when contacting us. Please also include evidence of any damage or fault — this will speed up the process.

New Vinyl Records

To return new vinyl records for any reason other than damage — including unwanted items or items purchased by mistake — notify us as soon as possible after receiving your order at skylabsiowa@gmail.com.

To be eligible for a return of an unwanted item, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. No returns are accepted if the factory seal and/or wrapping is broken. The item must have been delivered within the return period (15 days).

All returns must be approved by our Customer Service team. A Return Authorization Number (RA#) is issued if you are eligible for a return. We cannot guarantee that any unauthorized returns will be accepted and processed. Therefore, it is important you contact us first regarding any return.

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return. If approved, you will be notified via email and refunded on your original payment method. Refunds will only be processed upon our team completing the return process. The return process can take up to 15 working days from our team receiving a return.

Please Note

We do not cover shipping on the return of unwanted items. Shipping costs are non-refundable for unwanted items.

Clothing & Merchandise

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on merchandise that has been personally worn, used, washed, or augmented.

If an item of merchandise is defective or does not fit upon receipt, notify us within 7 days of receiving the item at skylabsiowa@gmail.com and send it back to us within 15 days or we will be unable to accept it.

Shipping

You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Open Box Disclaimer — Electronics

"Open box" electronics are products that have been previously purchased, opened, and returned to the retailer. These items may include customer returns, display models, or products with damaged packaging.

While we strive to ensure all open box items are in full working condition, they are sold "as is" unless otherwise stated. The product may show minor cosmetic imperfections such as scratches, scuffs, or dents, and original packaging or accessories (e.g., cables, manuals, or adapters) may be missing or substituted.

Functionality has been tested to the extent possible, but we cannot guarantee the inclusion of all original components or the absence of undetected issues. Open box items may not include the full manufacturer's warranty — please check the product listing for warranty details.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, subject to our return policy, provided the item is in the same condition as received. By purchasing an open box product, you acknowledge and accept these conditions and assume responsibility for ensuring compatibility and functionality for your intended use.
