Quiet direct drive
Dual direct drive concepts have been synonymous with outstanding durability and quality for decades. The CS 618 impresses with a quiet direct drive that keeps platter speed precise and silent.
The drive is quartz stabilized for 33, 45 and 78 rpm, with coreless inductors to avoid vibration and double shielding to eliminate magnetic fields.
Twin gimbal tonearm
The turntable’s twin gimbal precision tonearm is further optimized by the factory-installed Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge to deliver outstanding sound quality, for a more precise and improved audio reproduction and a first-class listening experience.
The solid aluminum gimbal construction uses four fine pivot ball bearings.
Automatic lift and stop
With an electronic motor stop and automatic lift at the end of the record, the CS 618 offers the highest level of operating comfort for a manual turntable. Both functions are switchable.
The stepless anti-skating is easily adjusted with a rotary knob and a clear scale, the three speeds are selected electronically with a rotary switch, and the pickup is easily changed using the headshell.
Built to last
An aluminum die-cast platter and an MDF plinth sit on elastomer vibration absorbers inside the feet. The plinth is available in black, gloss black or walnut veneer.
RCA outputs connect to a phono input or a line input.
