Here's the thing people miss about how Nagaoka builds these: the cantilever ships with the stylus, not the cartridge. So when you buy a JN-P200, you're not just buying a diamond. You're buying the low-mass, high-strength boron cantilever that separates the MP-200 from everything below it. Boron is stiffer and lighter than aluminum, so it transmits what the stylus finds without flexing or ringing on the way — that's the extended treble, the tighter transients, and the higher compliance the MP-200 is known for.

Up front is a super-fine polished elliptical diamond, and the whole assembly comes in the MP-200's violet housing. Installation is the usual Nagaoka non-event: pull the worn assembly off the front of the cartridge body, press the new one on, play a record. The upgrade angle is worth spelling out. The JN-P200 fits the MP-100, MP-110, and MP-150 bodies.
