Drawing on TEAC's proud heritage in creating world-class tape decks, the W-1200 is a best-in-class dual cassette deck for the modern age.
The W-1200 is a double cassette deck featuring two, one-way cassette decks, mic mixing, a USB digital output and other versatile recording features. In recent times, cassette tapes have fascinated those whom have never used them, thanks to their warm, distinctly analogue sound, not to mention the ease of recording and the ability to create 'mix-tapes'.
We set out to create a cassette deck that combined an excellent level of performance with an interface that suits the digital audio era. Not only does the W-1200 offer sound that's close to the original, it also has a wide range of versatile facilities that allow karaoke singing, the recording of conference minutes, and even the digital recording of analogue cassettes via a computer.
The two cassette decks support recording and playback on each as they have independent drive mechanisms... owners can record on both decks simultaneously to make a pair of identical tapes at the same time. And mic input and mic mixing allow you to practice your Karaoke singing over a cassette tape or an external sound source (via LINE IN).

Dual Deck REC/PLAY
Two simple and reliable one-way cassette mechanisms with independent drive sections. Record on both decks simultaneously to create identical tapes, or operate one deck while changing tapes in the other for continuous playback.
Noise Reduction System
Built-in noise reduction system suppresses inherent hiss noise. Play back legacy cassette tapes recorded with Dolby B NR with sound quality close to the original.
Pitch Control + RTZ
TAPE1 features ±12% pitch control to restore old tapes to original key or slow down for transcription. Both decks include Return-to-Zero functions for easy navigation to counter position 0000.
Parallel Recording
Create two identical tapes simultaneously on TAPE1 and TAPE2. Convenient for providing instant copies or creating master and distribution tapes for conference minutes.
Mic Input & Mixing
Mix microphone sound with tape or external sources and record to cassette. Perfect for karaoke performance, announcements, and conference recording without an external mixer.
USB Digital Output
Built-in A/D converter delivers CD-quality digital audio (up to 48kHz/16-bit PCM) via USB. Digitally archive your cassette library for playback on computers, smartphones, network players, or in your car.
